First of all festive greetings to you all….to the children
of our sculptor, happy last week of 2017 to the dreamers of a brighter and
better future, a very Happy Christmas. Well to write up this with you, as
my first post, I was just thinking about what we all go through around this
time of the year - “new year resolution”, something that defines the wish of
your heart before you get lost as the world starts moving spinning madly,
encircling the Sun.
It does perhaps always cross our mind that anything that we
think committing ourselves to shines bright at the beginning, almost like
turning around our life , solacing our mind, an step ahead from our current
state, an improvement to a better physical, emotional, intellectual, financial
state like the radiant bright hue of the rising Sun but not less than always loses
its meaning as the hours or in this case days goes by. And also almost always
at the end of every year we identify some different traits within ourselves
which we have picked up to cope with the need of that hour which sometimes does
not even align with our original self. What we term them is the life lessons,
what sometimes they become is the life trap.
Isn’t the trick is to identify ourselves with our individual
goals ---- you know to resonate with dream reasonably and entice it to our
desire? But for that identification and authentic association of yourself to
the goals, cards of the heart and mind has to be rung at the same time, you
have to know your immediate NEED to go up the ladder. For this one can always
look at the Content theories that have been provided overtimes examining human
behaviour with relation to the challenge of work and life. Here I want to
explain one so that you can determine rationally and logically if you are
confused for your next step to reach your dream.
A common, the simplest and most widely discussed theory
which has been used by many organisations of modern times for motivation of
their employees is the Abraham Harold Maslow’s Hierarchy Theory which can be
used in our personal prospect also. The essence of the theory is that needs
and wants of the human being, since they are many can be arranged in the order
of their importance or hierarchy from the basic to the complex theory and the
person advances to the next level of hierarchy only when the lower level need is
at least partially satisfied. Also it states that unfulfilled wishes and desires
influence their behaviour.
According to this theory growth needs do not stem from a lack of something, but
rather from a desire to grow as a person. Once these growth needs have been
reasonably satisfied, one may be able to reach the highest level called
self-actualization.Unfortunately, progress is
often disrupted by a failure to meet lower level needs. Life experiences,
including divorce and loss of a job, may cause an individual to fluctuate
between levels of the hierarchy. Therefore, not everyone will move through the
hierarchy in a unidirectional manner but may move back and forth between the
different types of needs."(source - .www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html)
The point of ponder is -- At what level of needs are you struck at? How much do you want to climb up? Have you yet become aware of your self actualisation point or what can be termed as the purpose of your life? for once you have decided the answers to these question and its becomes the rumbling thoughts of your heart, you will never feel lost or trapped or it will not be just another resolution that went in drain or a year that went in vain. NEVER.
Life transcends when you win over your nervousness and desires, transform them to excitement and goals... achieve something that you have wished on a shooting star.
Indeed a great writing which can instill a sense of motivation for setting life goals..Did not feel like it's your first post. Looking forward for more of your stuff..
